Question:
I received the following message on my system, what should I do?

                                          | !  WARNING  ! |
Your DATA FILE was not correctly updated during the last posting or maintenance procedure. This can be due to power failure or switching off the power before exit to main menu.

Please RESTORE your data files - repeat any postings or maintenance done since the last back up before proceeding further.

Answer:
This is actually a fail safe protection system build into our system. In order to ensure every transactions or records changed is update correctly and completely onto the database files.

Whenever the system make change or add in new records to the database, the system will turn ON the fail safe monitoring procedure before any actual updating, and when it done, the system will then turn OFF fail safe monitoring procedure. However, if something unexpected happen in between, for example power failure, network connection failure happen or reset/switch off the computer accidentally, the fail safe monitoring procedure will show the above 'WARNING' message on next time the user access to the system.

Question:
Is my program Y2K or Year 2000 compliant?

Answer:
Only Version 3.0 and above system is fully Year 2000 Compliant. You can check your version at the starting password enter screen. If you are using Version 2.2, please check with your software supplier to confirm this matter.

Question:
If my program is Year 2000 compliant, why the date input still in DD/MM/YY format?

Answer:
We changed the system logic, so that any year smaller than 50, will take as 20??, otherwise 19??.
e.g. 29/02/00 will be 29/02/2000
